altEnergy is a fairly new company - we started in December 2007 - but this is a new industry for a new time. altEnergy was set up to try to help people change some things about the way we live.  It doesn't really matter whether you believe that the crisis the planet faces is caused by us or not. It only matters that you believe that there is a crisis. If you do believe that, then you probably want to do something about it. And that is why we decided to set this company up: to provide good and knowledgable advice about things you can do to reduce your impact on the environment.

Because the truth is, we have for too long been polluting our own environment and we really need to change the way we do things. And we can each do things in a small way - if we all do that, then we will have a big effect.

There are many things that we can do to improve the way we interact with our environment. From refusing to take plastic bags at the supermarket and recycling our rubbish at one end of the scale, to using less energy to live our lives, and even generating some renewable power at the other.

We can advise you on many of these things and provide you with the resources for many of them - but at the heart of it, if you just want to drop in, get a cup of green tea (on us) and have a chat about the environment or the price of electricity, then just do it!
